I heard this song on the radio recently and was like, “Hey, what’s this?!” Turned the volume up and nana-ed along to it. It’s so catchy, I was singing along even though I didn’t know the lyrics. I’ve been listenting to it ever since. It’s one of my favorite songs. This song kind of reminds me of The Strokes.

I love it. It’s by far my favorite CD by them. The songs on this CD are a lot different from their other songs but it’s by far my favorite CD by them. I like just about every song on there. The songs off his new CD are really passionate.. they speak to you.. they hit hit hard.

My favorite songs from their new CD would have to be:

Reggaeton. Hm, so I’ve never really liked Reggaeton before but lately i’ve been really into it, well these couple of years…. probably because when Reggaeton was just becoming big Daddy Yankee was one of the biggest artists and I didn’t like his music. Some of my favorite Raggaeton artists are Wisin y Yandel, Rakim y Ken-Y, Arcangel, La Factoria, Don Omar Flex, Nigga and Ivy Queen.

Keyshia Cole

I love Keyshia Cole’s music. Her songs are usually very deep, she sings from the heart and how she’s feeling. A lot of her songs are about love or what’s going on in her life. Her songs are easy to relate to and that’s what i love about her music. She does have some songs though that are really fun and make you want to dance.

Kansas

I recently heard of the band Kansas, sad I know, since they’ve been around since the 70’s. When i think of Kansas it makes me think of how different music is today from back in the 70’s. Now it seems like there is not a lot of talent out there… now it seems like any talentless loser with a computer can become famous. I really like how in this band they are all musically inclined. The vocalist is really good and plays piano and organ as well as drums, the hairy vocalist plays violin, etc.

Here is one of my favorite songs by Kansas:

Dust In The Wind

Slipped Away

This song reminds me a lot of my grandmother. She passed away this summer. I heard this song recently and cried my eyes out.. I had no idea I would. I just wanted to listen to the song because I hadn’t heard it in a while and all of a sudden I started listening to the words and that was it… I was crying… yeah it just hit me hard.

Here are some of the lyrics:

Na na, na na na, na na
I miss you, miss you so bad
I don’t forget you, oh it’s so sad
I hope you can hear me
I remember it clearly

The day you slipped away
Was the day I found it won’t be the same
Ooooh

Na na na na na na na

I didn’t get around to kiss you
Goodbye on the hand
I wish that I could see you again
I know that I can’t

Oooooh
I hope you can hear me cause I remember it clearly

The day you slipped away
Was the day I found it won’t be the same
